Our clients’ goal for this next chapter was clear. As empty nesters, they envisioned a casually elegant home with an open floor plan that feels warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for both quiet moments and joyful gatherings with friends and family. With this in mind, our design choices were focussed on creating an open, versatile space ideal for entertaining—yet equally cozy and playful for granddaughters’ sleepovers.
To achieve this, we used a palette of soft neutral tones and layered textures to create a sense of effortless ease that is refined and timeless. We designed and sourced spacious and comfortable furnishings in the living room, loft, and pool-side patio to bring a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Durable and performance fabrics and materials are included throughout the home to ensure our clients, their guests, and grandchildren are able to enjoy their personalized new space for years to come.
To showcase the home’s exceptional craftsmanship, our design incorporated custom hardwood flooring, millwork, and built-ins. Special attention was given to the primary bathroom, where fluted tile above the vanity extends to the ceiling and envelopes the soaking tub. Carefully chosen light fixtures featuring expertly crafted metal and glasswork add a touch of opulence and individuality in every space. Natural materials in the kitchen and gathering spaces, such as quartzite countertops, white oak cabinetry, a zinc hood, and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace are fully custom. This thoughtful detailing adds personality and elegance throughout.
